A Self Portrait
I am a student. I am an accompanist. I am a
child care worker. I am a gas station attendant.
I am nineteen. I am a woman.
I am a daughter. I am a grand daughter. I am a sister. I am a cousin. I am a
niece.
I am a friend.
That is what I am.
This is who I am.
I like using a camera.
It gives me freedom to make my world look
the way I want it to.
I guess it gives me a sense of control.
I like to travel.
It looks different, it feels different, it
smells different, it breathes different.
Everything is an adventure.
You never know who or what you will meet.
And you begin to understand the concept of
home in a different way.
I’m in my apartment right now, but I’m still
traveling, still journeying.
